Europe’s strength has always come from its ability to act as one. United, we are the world’s most powerful continent. Anyone acting against our unity is trying to destroy us. Anyone acting against our unity is our enemy.

Europe is under threat. Donald Trump wants Greenland, Russia wants the East, and China wants our factories. We are facing the three most powerful enemies of our existence. European defense is European life. Si vis pacem, para bellum.

Independence means our own technologies, a strong economy, and the freedom to decide without fear of blackmail. No enemy can interfere in our choices. No ally either. We act for our own good and our own interests — exclusively. We are not Washington’s puppet. We are not Moscow’s. We are European.

Washington sets our security agenda. Beijing buys our infrastructure. Moscow funds our populists. Europe’s decisions are no longer entirely European. That must end.
